How much does an accountant earn ? A brief comparison !

Roles in the accounting field have seen a moderate demand at the current time. Due to the increased technical skills, automation, and soft skills, certified accountants pocket out a decent amount of money each year.

In this article, we’ve tried to summarize the remuneration published by two different bodies. On the one hand we’ll look at the salary published by a commercial body. On the other hand, we’ll review the reports published by the government body.

Firstly, let’s review the reports published by Robert Half (a public company – RHI NYSE) for each of the following countries.

In order to make the report comparable we’ve converted the amount into USD as seen below:

In addition to the salary, professional accountants receive paid vacation, insurance, professional membership fee, education-assistance programs, promotion and performance bonuses, and various other memberships and offers. Some companies also pay a signing bonus to attract the talents.

For the report from Robert Half, we used RHI accounting and finance career guide published in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.

For the government report, we used the salary published by the US Bureau of Labour Statistics for the US, Job Bank for Canada, Job Outlook for Australia and Office for national statistics for the UK.
